PAYASO CON PASTEL EN LA MANO

Curvatura de íntimo pensamiento, adagio que poco sangra en los asientos, grumo de tarde bajo la lengua, me vino la tristeza óleo de un brochazo. Tendrá corazón de piedra que pobre ríe, tendrá ánima de langosta que el humor inhibe. Es la estatua de lo bueno, así, a secas insolado en la blancura profunda mañana de domingo. Lo miro y pienso ¿por qué se habrá vuelto loco? Si encuentra ternura al cruzar la calle, si lo que no muere está con él y cuando se le cae la corona al mostrar gacha la necesidad, el orbe de una flor desdice La Experiencia y gira el mundo. Gira. Me lo llevo a casa, hago que se sienta a sus anchas en mi cama. No lo imagino desnudo porque creo que no lleva encima nada. Brillan sus dientes, chispea su cara. Mientras me descalzo se fuma las manos y su mente vibra y me desacomoda. El espejo es una cuerda que olvidé saltar, los cajones del suelo son trampas al ignorante y peticiones de escrutinio al azar. Tendrá cientotreinta años pero no es feliz; su errancia como la hizo Dios y que ya no es maravilla, tiene reducto en mí. Abro la ventana y se le escapa el rostro, me enseña el hueso y finge atender que las tardes son gelatina y el bosque de allá una tela arrugada y vieja como él. Quisiera que fuera mi padre para decirle cualquier cosa que tuviera que ver con lo dulce del bien morir. Me desnudo ante su parvedad de ojos y lo veo venir, me toca relámpago sin arrebato, me alienta al pantano del rincón. No lo quiero. No soy su bella nieve del amor. Soy tal vez sometidas ganas de estallar, pero las esquirlas le harían daño otra vez. Lo quiero amar, amar en su gris postura. Roja de en medio me muerde las piernas y contempla de qué están hechas las ligeras luces del atardecer. Me atrapa y soy lengua que sabe a sal...

Me quedé dormida en el camión. Sólo recuerdo que fui a una fiesta y él no llegó, y más tarde rumbo a casa justo cuando aterricé la excitación una curva veloz me trajo la rebanada de pastel.

El payaso allá va luego de triunfar otra vez.
